Geoff Kitt Named CJHL RBC Scholastic Player Of Year

A fitting end to a great junior hockey career for Dryden’s Geoff Kitt.

The Carleton Place Canadians forward has been named 2017-2018 Canadian Junior Hockey RBC Scholastic Player of the Year.

Kitt was chosen by a national selection committee from nominees from across the ten leagues and 132 teams that make-up the CJHL.

He excelled in the classroom as an A-plus student at Algonquin College.

Kitt was also the captain of the Canadians this season and finished his time with the team with 168-games, 48-goals, 80-assists, two league championship titles, three Eastern Canadian appearances and a berth at the 2016 RBC Cup.

He is moving on to Erie, Pennsylvania with an NCAA Division 1 scholarship with Mercyhurst University.
