Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout have been cleared of any criminal wrong doing in a April, 2017 incident.
Tony Loparco, the Director of the Special Investigations Unit, has determined there are no reasonable grounds to lay charges against any OPP officer with the Sioux Lookout detachment.
The probe was in relation to an interaction with a 45-year-old woman in a wooded area.
Officers attended after a call was received requesting police assistance with a number of intoxicated individuals.
The SIU is an arm’s length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
