A fundraising campaign has been launched to aid in the search of missing 26-year-old Charnelle Masakeyash of Pickle Lake.
The ‘Go Fund Me’ campaign is being initiated by the Nishnawbe Aski Nation and New Osnaburgh First Nation.
The funds are to assist in the ground search and will go towards gasoline, food, warm clothes and lodging for volunteer searchers.
Officials are hoping to raise $5,000.
Masakeyash was reported missing on November 9th and her sister says she grew concerned when Charnelle didn’t attend a court appearance.
According to her sister, Charnelle has three young children, aged eight, five and three, and they are currently staying with their grandmother.
