Goldcorp Acquires Probe Mines

Goldcorp is expanding.
The mining giant is purchasing Probe Mines in a deal worth about 526 million dollars.
Probe owns a gold mine near Chapleau but is also involved in the Ring of Fire.
Goldcorp is planning to create a new exploration company called New Probe, which will hold the company’s mineral rights in the Ring of Fire.
