Goldcorp Profitable Due To Red Lake Mine

Goldcorp was the most profitable gold mining company in North America in 2001 thanks to its Red Lake Mine.
Goldcorp says the Red Lake Mine finished last year with more than 500-thousand ounces of gold being produced which led to record earnings and cash flow.
Company spokesman Chris Bradbrook says the trend may not be repeated this year with a lower production rate expected as Goldcorp concentrates more on exploration efforts at the mine.
