Golf Tournaments Planned For Blueberry Festival

Sioux Lookout’s Blueberry Festival is right around the corner, with plenty of sporting activity going on.
It doesn’t matter if you are young or old because there’s a golf tournament for everyone.
The Ladies Blueberry Open is August 2nd and is an 18 hole, one day event.
Manager of the Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club Gus MacLellen says the cost is $75 and participants get a free practice round on Friday and a dinner on Saturday night.
If you are more into grabbing your partner, then you are in luck there is a Mixed Blueberry Open as well.
It runs August 4th, the cost is $60 for a team and it’s a 9 hole, best ball tournament.
MacLellen says if anyone is under 18 years of age they can take part in the Junior Blueberry Open.
It starts on August 5th and it’s a 9 hole event.
The Men’s Blueberry Open is August 9th-10th and the cost is $130 per player.
