Wednesday night belonged to Cole Golka.
The leading goal scorer in the SIJHL potted two in regulation and added the only goal in the shootout as the Dryden GM Ice Dogs held on for a 5-4 victory over the visiting Thunder Bay North Stars.
Dryden GM did lead 3-1 and 4-2 but the Stars made a game of it with three goals in the third period.
Nick Etchyson and Matt Houston added singles.
The Ice Dogs outshot Thunder Bay 42-36.
Dryden GM has now won three straight and is once again above the .500 mark.
They trail Minnesota by four points.
