Governor General Visiting Thunder Bay And Sioux Lookout

A full agenda for the Governor General of Canada Wednesday in Sioux Lookout. David Johnston and his spouse Sharon Johnston will make several stops in the community. They will start the day at 9:20 at City Hall with a photo op, followed by informal discussions with Mayor and Council. At 10:40, David Johnston will participate in a round table with local school officials and students. At the same time, Sharon Johnston will meet with representatives from the Equay-wuk Women’s Group. The Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre is another one of the key stops. They will tour the hospital and then meet with local First Nations leaders and health professionals to discuss health care and mental health issues. Their Excellencies will also make a stop at the Sioux Lookout Memorial Arena to meet with coaches, volunteers and students to learn more about the successful Hockey Canada Skills program. David and Sharon Johnston are in Thunder Bay Tuesday.
