Three Dryden Organizations Set To Receive Moffat Funding

Three organizations in Dryden are in line for some financial assistance.

Council has agreed to move three projects forward for $50,000 in funding under the Moffat Family Fund.

The Dryden Food Bank would be on the receiving end of $20,000, while the Dryden Mayor’s Committee for Children and Youth is also expected to receive $20,000 for its Universal Recreation program.

$10,000 has been allocated for the Dryden Public Library to expand its Accessible Learning Materials program.

A local volunteer committee decided not to move forward with a request for funding under the program for the Multi-Use complex at Rotary Park.

The total amount requested was nearly $105,000, however only $50,000 was allocated for Dryden projects.

The grants still need approval from the Winnipeg-based Foundation, which has never been an issue.
