The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is generally pleased with the results of the 2011 literacy tests.
72% of Grade 10 students who wrote the exam back in March were successful, up 3% from last year.
The Provincial rate dropped one point to 83%.
Dryden was up 8-points to 82%, while Queen Elizabeth High School in Sioux Lookout jumped 9% to 53%
Red Lake High scored a 79%, the same result as last year.
Director of Education Jack McMaster says their teacher-teaching-teacher strategy is paying off.
McMaster says they will continue forward with that plan for 2011-2012.
