Grade 10 Student Contributes To Sharpshooter

The Dryden Minor Hockey Association is the grand prize winner of the Timber Mart Sharpshooter Contest, with some help of a Dryden High School Student.
Megan Silander is in grade 10, and is President Brent Silander’s daughter.
Megan says she was surprised when her dad asked her to write an essay on how the grand prize would benefit Dryden.
She says that her dad told her about it before she went to play ringette, and was able to think about what she was going to write during practice.
The DMHA will receive ten thousand dollars, and fifty-thousand-dollars will go to the Mayor’s Committee to help kids get involved in local sports.
Chair Mike Wood of the Neighborhood Legacy and Vice Principal of DHS Jennifer McMaster say they are very proud of the students who get involved.
