The Grandparent scam strikes again!
Drdyen Police received a call from a man who was contacted by his so-called grandson.
The grandson said he was in a motor vehicle collision, in jail and needed $1,200.
The resident then received a follow-up call from someone claiming to be the grandson’s lawyer.
Dryden Police followed up with a call to the man’s real grandson and discovered he was safe and sound at home in Nova Scotia.
Police advise residents to talk to other relatives and ask plenty of questions if they receive a call like this.
