A small demonstration in front of the Weyerhaeuser Timberstrand Mill in Kenora on Jones Road took place yesterday.
Some youth from the Grassy Narrows First Nation are demanding that the mill not use wood from the Whiskey Jack Forest.
Corissa Swain is a member of the Grassy Narrows Youth and says what they’d really like is to see the mill close.
The Grassy Youth presented a letter to mill management asking them to respect their demands.
The group were also joined by a group of activists in their On-To-Ottawa caravan, which started it’s journey out in British Columbia.
