Rainy Lake Hotel Receives Money For Demolition

The demolition of the former Rainy Lake Hotel is one step closer.
Fort Frances Mayor Roy Avis says he’s been informed the town will receive over $997,000 from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund towards the development of the market square on the hotel’s site.
Avis calls its great news for the community.
Avis adds they’re also hoping for funding from FEDNOR which would allow them to start planning for the tear down of the hotel.
