There are a number of measures to help northern Ontario is the provincial budget released yesterday by Finance Minister Dwight Duncan.
Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle says the government has kept its promise to increase the funding for the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund to 70 million dollars this year.
He adds that there is also more money for road construction and rehabilitation in this region.

Gravelle says the government was even able to implement one of the recommendations from the Rosehart Report released last week, which was to speed up cuts to the Business Education Tax for northern Ontario companies.
