Budget Reaction-Gravelle

There are a number of promises in the provincial budget that should help the economy of northwestern Ontario communities.

That’s the feeling of Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle.

In addition to more money for roads and the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund, Gravelle says the McGuinty Government has agreed to speed up cuts to the Business Education Tax.

Gravelle adds that this region will also see some benefit from the 1.5 billion dollars promised for retraining workers who lost their jobs.
