Great Clean-up Underway!

The winter storm, responsible for a lot of sore backs from shovelling, has moved out of the area.

Dryden and Thunder Bay were the hardest with 25-30 centimetres of snow.

Fort Frances and Atikokan received 15 to 20 centimetres, 10 to 15 is reported in Ignace, while Sioux Lookout and Red Lake escaped with less snow.

CKDR Meterologist Bill Laidlaw says the system started in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Laidlaw says the intense low picked up moisture in the Gulf of Mexico and started to blossom.

He adds the storm strengthened once it hit here and drove a lot of warm air and moisture into the area.
