Federal Green Party leader Elizabeth May says her party believes in a sustainable forestry industry.
May is reacting to recent concerns from the Northernwestern Ontario Municipal Association that environmentalists are bringing forest products companies to their knees financially.
She says people may have a perception problem around the Green Party, but they’re very strong believers in the sector and the jobs it creates across Canada.
May adds Green Party policies at the federal level only aim to assist and support the industry. (Photo provided)
