The economy and the environment are absolutely interlinked.
That from Johanna Kerr of Greenpeace Canada who is excited the environment is the number two issue in the Federal election after the economy.
Kerr says every party has a slightly different position on the proposed Energy East project.
She calls it a major infrastructure project that doesn’t make much sense and she wants to her the stance of each party.
Kerr says environmental groups are watching all of the parties and pushing them as far as possible.
Kerr notes Conservative Leader Stephen Harper has put all his eggs in the fossil fuels/tar sands basket, whether its on oil sands expansion or permission to advance drilling in the arctic.
