Conservative leader Patrick Brown says Ontario’s budget continues to take a hard line on health care.
Brown says health spending has led to cuts, with a recent announcement of the elimination of 50 medical residency positions.
Brown says nursing jobs have slashed and some hospitals have been forced to close their entire wings.
He adds physiotherapy and homecare for seniors have also taken a hit.
However, Health Minister Eric Hoskins argues health care funding in the province has actually been increasing.
Hoskins notes they have made significant investments to help personal support workers and changes made to physiotherapy has resulted in 200,000 more seniors receiving the service.
