Hospital Out With Yearly Report

The Dryden Regional Health Centre continues its quest to be the best!

The hospital is out with its 2014-2015 report aimed at showcasing the gains made at the facility and what’s still needed for improvement.

It outlines the gains made in various areas including quality and safety, patient experience, people, finances, facilities, equipment, innovation and growth.

Chief Executive Officer Wade Petranik says one of the highlights this year was balancing the books.

Petranik notes they do face challenges in capital upgrades with limited funds available.

He says one of their goals is to make the hospital more comfortable for patients and there will be an emphasis on consulting them to understand their experiences at the hospital.

Petranik says they also want to work with staff to get their input on what’s needed at the facility.

He adds the main accomplishment from the past year was receiving the “Gold” Quality Health Care Workplace Award at the Ontario Hospital Association’s Annual Convention.
