Greenpeace Fires Back At NOMA

The war of words continues between environmentalists and the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association.

NOMA is insisting environmental groups are trying to bring the forest industry in this region to its knees.

However, Richard Brooks of Greenpeace believes there are so called troublemakers in the north who are misrepresenting the message of conservation.

Brooks says any claims environmentalists don’t care about communities or jobs simply is inaccurate.

He says all Greenpeace wants is for companies to practice responsible forestry.

Brooks is also disputing claims that Greenpeace is urging folks to boycott the Boreal Forest in the far north.
