Greg Rickford Ready Carry PC Banner In Kenora-Rainy River

Ontario Progressive Conservative leader Patrick Brown is laying his chips on a former Federal Cabinet Minister in hopes of painting the Kenora-Rainy River riding blue.

Greg Rickford was uncontested as the PC candidate for this riding at a nomination meeting in Dryden on Saturday.

Rickford says he’s ready to hit the ground running.

He says his first job is to re-engage communities that he has served in the past as well as networking in the Fort Frances-Emo area.

In terms of the last federal election, Rickford says the “past is the past” and he’s anxious to use his experience in the 2018 election.

He believes the writ will be dropped in May for the 2018 provincial vote.

Rickford says he has always been motivated by public service and he wants to properly serve local residents at Queen’s Park.

Rickford stresses it’s time for change, both in Ontario and in Kenora-Rainy River, and he supports Patrick Brown’s bold new vision for Ontario.

He adds local constituents have been very supportive of his political comeback.
