Greg Rickford of the Progressive Conservatives remains the only confirmed provincial election candidate in the riding of Kenora-Rainy River.
No one has yet stepped forward for the NDP or Liberals, though the election isn’t scheduled until June.
Rickford says he will spend that time concentrating on his own campaign and connecting with constituents.
He says he will be aggressive on the campaign trail, knocking on doors and hosting public events.
Rickford says he’s feeling strong about the campaign so far.
Rickford stresses it’s time for change, noting northerners are tired of the way the government has handled the finances.
He says action is needed on unfinished infrastructure projects, high hydro costs and diminished health care services.
Rickford made the comments during campaign stops in Kenora and Fort Frances last week.
