Former federal cabinet minister Greg Rickford has made a successful return back to politics.
Rickford won the Kenora-Rainy River riding in Thursday night’s provincial vote.
He says area residents have sent someone to Queen’s Park that they can count on to deliver results for this region.
Rickford says public service is his passion and he can’t wait to get started.
He notes he knocked on thousands and thousands of doors and felt confident on what the final results would be.
Rickford says our area has great opportunities ahead, noting there’s unlimited potential to create new jobs in the north as well as capitalize on forestry and mining opportunities.
He adds the PC government will work right away to make hydro more affordable.
