Maintaining the stability of the government.
That’s how Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford sees Monday’s provincial cabinet shuffle.
Rickford says the resignation of Economic Development and Trade Minister Jim Wilson made changes necessary.
He says this was about an unfortunate set of personal circumstances for one man.
Rickford notes by moving Todd Smith into his new position, it opened up, by sequence, a couple of needed adjustments.
Meanwhile, the NDP say Premier Doug Ford has to answer for the cabinet shuffle and explain why he removed and demoted a number of ministers after just a few months on the job.
