It’s the end of the road Wednesday for Greyhound Canada.
Northwestern Ontario and most parts of Canada will say good-bye to the long-time bus carrier.
The company made the decision back in July, citing a 41% drop in ridership, increased competition from subsidized national and inter-regional passenger services, the new entry of ultra-low-cost carriers, regulatory constraints and increased car travel.
Greyhound has been mum on the issue since the original announcement.
Kasper Transportation has spent the past couple of months reassuring passengers that transportation gaps will be filled in our area.
Right now the company has routes from Dryden to Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and more.
