Greyhound hearing #2

About 100 people attended a public hearing in Falcon Lake this morning trying to convince Greyhound to continue its local bus service to Kenora.

About 95 percent of the peple in attendance were from Kenora.
Edna Krosney is the Chair of the Manitoba Motor Transport Board, which held the session.
She says she’s dissapointed in the way Greyhound has marketed the local routes.

N001 Q:”…their ridership.” 17 seconds

Greyhound says the ridership on the local bus from Winnipeg to Dryden only averages about 9 passengers a day, and they need about 24 to break even.
