Greyhound Meeting

The Manitoba Motor Transport Board says it could take 6-months before
it decides if Greyhound Canada can reduce service in Northwestern Ontario.
A public hearing was held in Falcon Lake Thursday to get feedback
from local residents about the proposed cuts.
Greyhound Spokesperson Mel Levandoski says they are losing too much
money on the Winnipeg to Dryden run.
He notes ridership on that route only averages about 9-passengers a day and they need about 24 to break even.
However, MTB Chair Edna Krosney says she’s disappointed in the way Greyhound has
marketed the local routes.
About 100-people attended the public hearing.
