It looks as if the federal government has re-instated the GST rebate for out-of-country visitors staying at tourist camps.
The federal government announced the return of the rebate
in last months budget.
Doug Reynolds is the executive director fo the Northern Ontario Tourist Outfitters Association and says they are still awaiting for official word about the program.

Reynolds says a 50 percent GST rebate would be applied to any tourist packages sold for resorts in Canada and also to out-of-country visitors attending conventions.
