There’s been a surprise guilty plea in Thunder Bay, where a 33-year-old man was on trial for second-degree murder.
Garnet Loon pleaded guilty Thursday to the lesser charge of manslaughter in the Christmas Eve 2007 death of Jordan Achneepineskum.
The 18-year-old man was found with major head injuries in an apartment complex.
Loon will be sentenced August 4th.
Crown and defence lawyers have agreed to ask the judge for a prison sentence ranging from 2 to 6 years.
