American President Barack Obama is by-passing congress to broaden gun control laws in the United States.
At the White House, Obama unveiled executive actions designed to close up loop holes in the federal background check system for gun purchases.
He says it’s not a plot to take away everybody’s guns and will respect the constitutional right to bear arms.
Obama also pledges to commit millions in additional funding to mental health services.
