A 31-year-old man faces a long list of weapons charges after a home on the Washagamis Bay First Nation was raided.
The Treaty Three Police Service along with the RCMP’s National Weapons Support Team seized a number of firearms over the weekend after executing a search warrant.
Police say over 200 boxes of ammunition were removed from the house along with nine rifles and a handgun.
Police say some of the firearms were loaded at the time and stored in an unsafe manner.
The search warrant was issued a day after former NHL’er Ian White was arrested in Winnipeg on similar charges.
Several sources say the charges stem from an investigation that included a Kenora area cottage but Police are not confirming if the two cases are related.
