NDP leader Howard Hampton is urging Northwestern Ontario
residents to write to the Manitoba Transport Board about
Greyhound Canada’s application to decrease service in the
area.
Hampton says the Minister of Transportation failed to
help the region’s residnets by not calling for hearings
under the Transport Boards Public Vehicles Act.
N052 Q:”…are necessary.” 24 seconds
Hampton says it’s not too late to write to the board,
and adds the MTB is not just looking into the concerns of
Manitoba residents.
He adds without passengers from Northwestern Ontario
there would be no need for routes to Steinbach, Falcon
Lake, and Southern Manitoba.
