The two day federal cabinet retreat in British Columbia is being met with rallies by groups opposed to the government’s decision purchase the Trans Mountain Pipeline.
However, Labour Minister Patty Hajdu is reaffirming the Trudeau government’s decision is the right one.
She believes the pipeline purchase is in the interests of the country and getting our resources to market and at the same time protecting the environment.
Hajdu says she welcomes the right of people to protest in a democracy.
