The Dryden Fire Service has some reminders if you plan on setting up Halloween decorations this year.
Information Officer Reagan Breeze says many people use a candle for their jack-o-lanterns, but that can create a fire hazard.
Breeze says a better option is to use a battery-operated candle or a glow-stick.
Breeze also reminds parents to shop smart when getting their child’s costume, making sure it has reflectors and is comfortable.
