Halloween Safety Tips

Be safe this Halloween!
Reagan Breeze of the Dryden Fire Service says parents should purchase costumes that are flame resistant.
Breeze says some other tips are:
– don’t use costumes that have long trailing as it can ignite or cause someone to trip
– review with children how to “stop, drop and roll”
– teach children to stay away from all ignition or heat sources
– use a flameless candle for pumpkin lighting
– use decorations appropriately and make sure they aren’t blocking off any emergency exits
– avoid highly flammable Halloween decorations such as crepe paper
The Dryden Fire Service wants everyone to have a safe and happy Halloween.
