No big surprise.
Howard Hampton has easily won the NDP nomination in the Kenora-Rainy River Riding.
Hampton was uncontested during the four day nomination process.
He says he wanted to get the nomination out of the way to focus on other political matters.
Hampton expects a provincial election will take place either this fall or in the spring of 2003.
He has been an MPP since 1987, when he represented the old Rainy-River riding.
