NDP Leader Howard Hampton feels the Liberal Government’s
Forestry Aid Package, is nothing more than pre-election
window dressing.
The Ministry of Natural Resources recently doled out
cheques to several pulp and paper mills under an
electricity rebate program.
Hampton says the McGuinty Government program has failed
to address electricity issues in the North.

The NDP launched the “Fail Hydro Rates plan” today in
Kakebeka Falls. The plan calls for a new industrial hydro
rate of 45 dollar megawatt hour, and a seperate Northern
Power System.
