Hampton on KI-Platinex #2

Aboriginal Affairs Minister Michael Bryant has created a

memorandum of agreement for the KI First Nation.

Bryant believes it could resolve the dispute between the

remote aboriginal community and Platinex Mining.

NDP Leader Howard Hampton says the First Nation will be

looking for a number of issues to be adressed.

Hampton adds the Liberals should also pay the First

Nations legal costs, since it was the McGuinty

Government’s fault they wound up in court in the first

place.

KI says the Province failed to consult with their

community before providing a mining licence to Platinex.
