Head of 1989 Tragedy Questioning Transport Can.

Transport Canada is gradually implementing a safety management system in the aviation industry that critics say won’t work.
The regulator says it’s another layer of safety, but inspections have been cut and inspectors are being lost.
One of the critics is Virgil Moshansky, the former commissioner who investigated the 1989 crash that killed 24 people in Dryden.
Moshansky says he sees similarities between now and events before that crash.
Moshansky notes it seems the Federal Government needs a major disaster to happen before acting, stressing it appears they don’t pay attention to history.
