The President of the Ontario Nurses Association says more of an onus has to be put on recruitment.
Linda Haslam-Stroud was in Dryden Friday and she says front-line RN’s usually do their job will little fanfare or recognition.
She adds finding more nurses is just as important as the push for Doctors in the Northwest.
Meantime, the ONA will be closely scrutinizing tomorrow’s Provincial Budget.
Haslam-Stroud hopes to hear several Healthcare announcements centred on the nursing profession.
She says the Liberals have already taken major steps in improving the relationship with front-line RN’s that was soured by the previous Tory Governments.
