Health Care Access for Remote Communities

19 First Nation communities north of Red Lake will now be able to access medical advise through an expanded Health Care plan.

The McGuinty Government has invested over $1 million in a tele-health system.

Minister of Northern Development Rick Bartolucci says patients will be able to use the newest technology available.

Those seeking medical advise will be allowed to speak to a doctor through a video conferencing system without having to leave their community.

The system also includes internet access and TV monitors.
