Health Care an Election Issue

Ontario’s politicians are being urged to make health care a top campaign priority.
Natalie Mehra of the Ontario Health Coalition says access to care is a serious issue in the Province and all political parties need to detail where they stand.
Mehra says more than 18,000 hospital beds have been cut since 1990, while 24,000 people wait for nursing home beds and 10,000 wait for home care.
The coalition plans to distribute pamphlets to voters that outline how the parties stand on key health-care issues.
