The Chair of the Dryden Cares Committee says its now up to Dryden City Council to act on what he calls a health-care crisis.
Roger Valley says the committee hopes to join the municipality and purchase the Dingwall and King Street Clinics and create a community based clinic.
Valley says a number of doctors have stated they would practise in Dryden if the clinics were community based and rent was covered.
1.8-million dollars is needed to purchase and renovate the facilities.
Valley says the committee will split half the bill with the municipality through a massive fundraising campaign.
He hopes to raise these funds by next January.
A public meeting is planned for April 23rd at the Dryden Legion.
