Health Information For Schools

The Northwestern Health Unit is helping schools in the region with their health curriculum needs.
Health Promotion Team Leader Phyllis Anderson says a comprehensive health information package has been compiled for teachers in both elementary and secondary schools.
Anderson says material covered in the packages includes sexual and reproductive health, food safety and chronic disease prevention.
The Health Unit began distributing the health packages just before Christmas and will have them in all schools in the region by the end of January.
