Talks between the federal government and the provinces and territories for a new health accord could start as soon as next week.
That’s according to freshly minted Health Minister Jane Philpott.
The Liberals have promised a new era of cooperation.
During the election campaign, they pledged to negotiate a new long term funding accord after the Conservative government announced they were not renewing the plan which expired last year.
Philpott will also be attending a health ministers meeting scheduled for January.
She is the first physician to be appointed to the role of Health Minister since 1935.
