The Northwestern Health Unit is urging local residents to take it easy this week when it comes to drinking alcohol.
Health Promoter Randi Casey says you can reduce your risk of injury and chronic disease by limiting the amount of booze you drink.
Casey is encouraging folks to set limits and stick to them and always eat before and while your are drinking.
She also recommends having one non-alcoholic drink for ever alcoholic drink.
Casey says the over consumption of booze increases your risk of breast cancer, liver cancer, type 2 diabetes, colon cancer and cardiovascular disease.
