The Province has released its review of the Northwestern Health Unit in regards to meeting mandatory programs.
The 2002 indicators show some problems in the delivery of service as the Health Unit was ranked 29th out of 37th in Ontario.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Pete Sarsfield says problem areas include restaurant inspections, prevention of chronic diseases as well as prevention of injuries and use of drugs.
Sarsfield says there is a silver lining to the report as they use it as the foundation behind their yearly call for more money and notes they are starting to see more cash.
