Health Unit Conducts Student Survey

The Northwestern Health Unit is sharing the results from its Student Health Behaviours study.
The survey was done with 30 schools across the region, where more than 1,800 students from Grades 6,7 and 8 participated.
Health Promoter Stephanie Cran says it gives them a snap shot of the kids activity levels and eating habits.
Cran says they found just 9.8 percent of females were getting at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity daily, compared with 19.4 percent of males.
The survey was done in February and March of 2014.
